“The Twilight Saga’s New Moon” is leading the nominations at Britain’s upcoming National Movie Awards – scooping nods for all three of the film’s stars. Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner have all received recognition for their roles in the vampire sequel, going up against “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince” stars Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint in the Performance of the Year category.
The “Twilight” follow-up is pitted against “Avatar“, “Alice in Wonderland” and “Clash of the Titans” in the best fantasy film category, while the next installment, “The Twilight Saga’s Eclipse“, is in contention for the title of Most Anticipated Movie of the Summer.
“Harry Potter And The Half-Blood Prince” is nominated in the family film category along with “Nanny McPhee and the Big Bang“, and “Up“, while “Coco Before Chanel“, “Paranormal Activity” and “Harry Brown” are among films nominated for breakthrough movie prize.
The awards, which are voted for by the public, will be handed out at a ceremony in London in May.
