New Moon brings in more money!
For its opening weekend, New Moon rakes in USD$141 million. So far, it has beaten two 'The Dark Knight' records, but not this one. It ranks third in the list of best opening weekend of all time.
The film also performed well internationally, grabbing another $118.1 million, for a total worldwide debut of $258.8 million. The amazing numbers helped make this the second-best weekend ever at the domestic box office in terms of overall ticket sales, trailing only the weekend that 'The Dark Knight' opened.
