There are no deleted scenes on the “Twilight: New Moon” DVD, as director Chris Weitz had promised earlier.
He tells NBC New York’s Popcorn Biz, “I’m basically a big, fat liar. I put it out there that there are deleted scenes, but I just realized there aren’t. It was an honest mistake.”
It turns out that Summit Entertainment is going to release the deleted scenes over the course of the various DVD releases — undoubtedly so that Twihards will have to purchase as many copies as possible to get all the extra goodies.
Weitz also told Popcorn Biz that he’s most excited about a deleted scene featuring Rachelle Lefevre’s Victoria “on her way to Forks, just generally being a bad a** and killing the passenger of a very fast car.”
Sounds awesome! Guess we’ll have to buy two copies of “New Moon.” That ought to tide us over until the release of “Twilight: Eclipse” on June 30, 2010. Also, you can check out a couple “New Moon” deleted scenes on YouTube.
