The list of Grammy nominations is in, and guess what? There are some Twilight and The Twilight Saga: New Moon folks on the various lists.

For starters, the Twilight soundtrack itself is nominated for for “Best Compilation Soundtrack Album For Motion Picture, Television Or Other Visual Media.” Twilightsoundtrack front-group Paramore is also nominated for “Best Song Written For Motion Picture, Television Or Other Visual Media” for “Decode” from the Twilightsoundtrack. Probably won’t see them turn down the opportunity to win a Grammy for the sake of avoiding “house vampire band” status, now will we?

Moving right along, The Twilight Saga: New Moon soundtrack front-group Death Cab for Cutie is also nominated for a Grammy Award in the category of “Best Alternative Music Album” for “The Open Door.” New Moon score composer Alexandre Desplat is nominated as well for “Best Score Soundtrack Album For Motion Picture, Television Or Other Visual Media” for The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button (Disc 1).

Note that the nominations were based on musical recordings released between October 1, 2008 and August 31, 2009. In other words, don’t fret – next year’ll be the time to see whether the New Moon soundtrack gets a nod or not.
