As Jenny previously posted, new 'New Moon' footage is going to premiere on the Spike TV Scream Awards. However, as MTV discusses, 'Twilight' is nominated for several awards. 'Twilight' is getting healthy competition from 'True Blood':

...there's a decidedly vampiric feel to this year's show, with "Twilight" and "True Blood" landing a combined 19 nominations, including nods for Best Fantasy Movie and Best TV Show. The two franchises will even go head-to-head in a handful of categories, including Best Ensemble and Best Villain, where Cam Gigandet faces off against Alexander Skarsg�rd.

don't worry: Both Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart got nominated too, for Best Fantasy Actor and Actress.

But the undead action doesn't stop there. Not only will the cast of "True Blood" be on hand for the awards, but during the telecast, vampire fans will be treated to the world premiere of new footage from the hotly anticipated "New Moon" film.

Voting for the awards is currently open on Spike TV's website, and will close on the night of October 17th. The 2009 Spike TV Scream Awards tape on Saturday, October 17, at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles, and premiere Tuesday, October 27, at 10 p.m. ET. VOTE NOW!
