Anna Kendrick is generating Oscar buss with her performance as the upstart protegee of George Clooney’s character, Ryan Bingham. Critics loved Anna’s performance as the fast-talker Natalie Keener,who triggers a change in the icy Mr. Bingham.

After appearing in a few little-seen independent movies like 2007’s “Rocket Science,” Kendrick first garnered mainstream attention as Bella’s chatty, non-supernatural friend Jessica in “Twilight.” She reprised the role in the current box-office champ “New Moon,” but “Up in the Air” is her first chance to play a more grown-up role. In an interview with MTV, director Jason Reitman says he wrote the role specifically for Ms. Kendrick, explaining, “I needed a girl who could go toe-to-toe with George Clooney, and she was the one.”
