Sam Raimi has recruited David Slade to direct his film adaptation of The Shadow, says Latino Review.
Raimi, a long-time fan of the pulp character, has allegedly stepped aside from helming the picture and will instead serve as a producer with 30 Days Of Night’s Slade in the director’s chair. Slade’s next film, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, is due out this summer.
The rights for the Shadow film have also switched hands from Sony to 20th Century Fox after Raimi began courting a new home for the project.
The Shadow was previously made into a movie in 1994 with Alec Baldwin in the title role. The character first appeared in radio plays aired during the ’30s and ’40s.
