According to Collider,Universal Pictures and director Tony Gilroy have met potential candidates that shall take over the Bourne franchise. Among the candidates for the role is Twilight actor Kellan Lutz.

Kellan has expressed in his previous interviews of wanting to be part of the franchise. According to news reports, director Tony Gilroy has met with other potential candidates such as Jake Gyllenhaal, Tobey Maguire, Garrett Hedlund, Taylor Kitsch, Joel Edgerton, Josh Harnett, Paul Dao, Michael Pitt, Oscar Isaac, Michael Fassbender, Like Evans, Alex Pettyfer and Benjamin Walker.

There are no front runners yet for the role. The new Bourne movie, The Bourne Legacy has a release date of August 3, 2012.
