Last night I had the opportunity to attend a pre-screening of Remember Me with RobPattzNews, here in Seattle. In sum, it was an amazing experience. It was great to meet with another member of the blogging community, and to get to soak up a little of her knowledge of Rob and the blogging and movie industry.

The theater was packed, which was wonderful to see. The audience was a good mix of men and women, older adults, teenagers and everything in between. I love it when an audience is thoroughly engrossed in a movie and responsive, and this one didn't disappoint. Laughter and gasps of surprise and murmurs all at the appropriate moments.

Get on to the movie, Kerry!

The movie was....amazingly good. Pierce Brosnan did a great job playing the balance between what seems to be an emotionally distant father, but even in the early parts, you can see where he deeply loves his family. Chris Cooper, the same, tough, bitter, lonely, protective, and loves his daughter immensely.

Ruby Jerins is going to be a brilliant actress, because she already is. Tate Ellington is the hilariously funny comic-relief roommate. I seriously want him for my best friend. Emilie De Ravin is beautiful and endearing and so real. No plastic movie star love interest blandness, she's a real girl going through some real stuff, identifiable and believable.

Let's get to Rob, since that's why you're all here, right? I've seen all but one of Rob's movies. I have yet to see The Ring of the Nibelungs. I've always been impressed with his acting ability, beyond Edward and Cedric. Little Ashes was amazing, The Haunted Airman, while definitely strange, was a brilliant display of acting in  my opinion. However, Remember Me now tops my list of his work. Tyler is deep, and normal. Meaning he's a 21 year old guy. So, he's a little cocky, a little broody, a little bit of a hot-head. Rob is so genuine and it was so easy to get so caught up in his performance.

It also doesn't hurt that this movie is proof that Robert Pattinson is the most beautiful man on the planet. The relief was, for me, that it wasn't just a series of scenes called "Rob looks pretty." He simply is what he is, and for two hours, Tyler Hawkins stole my heart from Edward Cullen.

If I have any complaints at all, they are minor. There were a couple scenes that I would have liked to have seen more of. And, no, not just those scenes, you dirty-minded guttermates. Just a few that went by a little too quickly, and I wasn't done hearing what they had to say before it was over.

My recommendation? Bring tissues. Bring a friend. And see it this weekend, especially if you're wearing your purity ring. Spoilers already abound and it will get much more difficult to avoid getting spoiled after this weekend. Then, come back here and leave me your thoughts in the comments!
