In an interview with MTV, Nicole Kidman confirmed that she was in talks to start with Robert in Bel Ami but just wasnt able to work out the dates.

“I was [in talks for it], and we couldn’t work out the dates,” Kidman said.

Just because she hasn’t acted alongside Pattinson yet doesn’t mean she hasn’t checked out his previous work. “He’s great,” she said, adding that she had seen “Twilight.” “I haven’t seen the new one ['New Moon'].”

Nicole would have played the role of Madeline Forestier, a one time mentor of Georges Duroy, Pattinson’s character.
