Robert Pattinson will be in Sydney on May 6th 2011 for the premiere of his latest movie, Water for Elephants. For Aussie Rob fans this could be the only time they get the opportunity to see Rob live and in person!

This is where the ‘Robert for Elephants’ project comes into play. The organisers of The Robert for Elephants Project have decided to raise money for a charity that coincides with Rob’s movie Water for Elephants – They are going to raise money to sponsor an Elephant in Taronga Zoo, Sydney, for a year and they need your help.

What this means is that Robert Pattinson will officially be the adopted parent of one of the elephants in the zoo. This costs $1000 for the year and any money that they make, from donations, over this amount will be donated to the ‘SAVE THE ELEPHANTS FOUNDATION‘.

Their hope, is that while Rob is in Sydney, they can get him to come to the zoo and meet his elephant, be presented with his adoption certificate and a book, that you can find out more details of in the PHOTO BOOK TAB on their website.
