We have already reported that Twilight co-stars Taylor Lautner and Kristen Stewart are Oscar-bound this year as they will become two of the many presenters for the night. But that doesnt mean the show’s producers didnt tried their best to bring in Robert Pattinson too.

In an short interview with E!’s Marc Malkin, Oscars co-producer Adam Shankman said that they really tried their best to bring in Robert for the awards night but work got in the way.

“I think the Pattinson community is going insane,” Oscars coproducer Adam Shankman told us last night atVanityFair’s FEED Foundation and Hungry in America Project event. “All I want to say is, ‘He’s not available!’ “

“It’s not like we snubbed him,” Shankman assured us. “It’s not like we said no to him. We asked him to be in the show. We tried really really hard to get him there. We were working on getting Summit to fly him in for the day but eventually it became too much.
