For awhile there were rumors that Robert Pattinson is in the running for the role of Peter Parker in the reboot of the Spiderman Franchise. Whether those rumors were true, the role eventually went to Andrew Garfield, who is one of Robert’s closest friends.

According to Garfield, despite success in their respective careers, he and Robert will always be friends.

He tells Britain’s ShortList magazine, “I don’t see it that way (as a competition). Rob’s a friend of mine and I care about him a lot. We’re very supportive of each other.”
