Sparkles For Blood Campaign At Comic-Con

I am a little offended by the "Sparkles for Blood" promotion that IDW Publishing is running a Comic-Con this year! According to IGN Comics, you can trade in any Twilight Saga novel or comic for an upgrade. IGN states-

Fans that bring any copy of a Twilight novel or comic to IDW's booth (#2643)
will get a free copy of the 30 Days of Night graphic novel. Dubbed "Sparkles for
Blood," the promotion is meant to spark interest in the recently announced 30
Days of Night ongoing series, debuting from IDW in October.

"Real horror
fans have watched vampires systematically turned into wimpy fodder for years
now. It's time to fight back" said Niles. "I'm happy to be working with IDW on
the Sparkles for Blood event. Hopefully, working together we can put an end to
this nightmare."

"Recently, vampires in pop culture have started to
swing back to the romanticized vamps of other literature and films before 30
Days of Night," said IDW chief creative officer, Chris Ryall. "In some cases,
they're even being treated more as chaste immortal teenagers than as the
murderous creatures that they are. 'Sparkles for Blood' will remind everyone
that vampires are creatures of the night, not of the twilight."

Are y'all just as -WTH- as I am? I like my vamps sparkly. K? Thanks!

P.S.- I highly doubt that Twilight Saga readers are going to trade their books in! Even if they wanted to read!
