For the second year running, Alexandre Desplat has been named as Composer of the Year at the World Soundtrack Awards. He was recognized for his work in four films including the Twilight Saga: New Moon. He also got a nod for the best original film, which he also won last year.

New Moon enters the record books of the infamous Guiness World Records as the movie that has the “Highest Opening Gross”, earning $72.7 million on its opening day. It beat out the old record set by The Dark Knight.

The Teen Choice Awards 2010 has already released their list of nominees for the show this year. Twilight and its actors are nominated in several categories which are listed below:

MTV caught up with New Moon director Chris Weitz at the set of his new movie, The Gardener, where they asked him about Bill Condon taking over the Twilight franchise and seeing the birth scene in 3D.

The National Movie Awards was held last night at the Royal Festival Hall in London and the Twilight Franchise won all the awards it was nominated for.

New Moon won for Best Fantasy movie (the award was accepted by Peter Facinelli), Most Anticipated Movie of the Summer – The Twilight Saga: Eclipse and Performance of the Year – Robert Pattinson.
