The famed Vampire author Anne Rice has blasted 'Twilight' for it's "failure of imagination".  Speaking with New Jersey's 'Star Ledger'Rice said;

In a new interview with New Jersey’s Star Ledger, Queen of Vampire Novels Anne Rice criticizes the Twilight Saga saying that books are based “on a silly premise”.

Q. Some of your vampires are sympathetic.

Youtube has released their year-end list of the Most Watched Videos of 2009. The second Twilight film, New Moon, placed fourth in the list garnering 31 million views. It joined UK sensation Susan Boyle and the Evian Roller babies on the list.

She was the queen of the vampire novels through her Vampire Chronicles. But it has been years since Anne Rice gave up writing vampire novels but her influence is still there. In a new interview with Wall Street Journal, Anne talked a bit about Twilight.
