There's a new rumour coming around that Summit is looking into adapting the Eclipse novella, The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner, a.k.a. the Bree Tanner story. Cool, huh?

In an interview with JSYK, Eclipse vampire Jodelle Ferland talks about getting the role of Bree and being one of the new vampires on set.Here is an excerpt:

Elena Nola:  So, were you a fan of the Twilight series before you got cast as Bree?

In a snippet of his interview with MTV, Eclipse director David Slade talked about Bree Tanner and how he was handed a book by Stephenie Meyer before it was made public. He talked about how the book affected their casting and location choices and what to expect more against the newborn vampire army.

David Slade explained to MTV how the 'Short Second Life of Bree Tanner' influenced 'Eclipse' and how he filmed it;

'He received a copy of "Short Second Life" about halfway through pre-production on "Eclipse," and said that what it affected more than anything was the location and casting choices for the film.

"One of the things in the 'Bree Tanner' story is that one of the hangouts is very close to water and so we specifically went after locations that were near water," he said as an example, with tied in with our earlier article.
